"Those" days.

There seem to be two main forms of naff luck. The first, and to my mind most frustrating, is when you get good cards and suffer bad beats. And by bad beats, I'm really talking about when the chips go in. I rarely get that riled if my AA runs into a QQx board and I have to fold. The other is when you just don't get good cards. At all. I'm having one of "those" days today. It's not true that I've had NOTHING, just not very much. In around 200 hands, I've been dealt a grand total of 3 pocket pairs (3s twice, 7s once), a single AK, a single AQ and a single AJ. One of the pairs of 3s hit the set whilst my aggressive opponent hit top pair of 8s with Ace kicker, which was a very nice break (he went all-in). The other was unplayable with high blinds on a full table and early position. The 7s was a forced all-in which lost to 8 10. AK I raised to 3 times BB (which was not a lot) on a full table and got no callers. AQ I got in the big blind late on when short of chips, but everybody folded. The AJ was also a short-stacked all-in, this time from one before the button. BB had QQ. The final sort of nice hand was in a multi, again short-stacked through lack of playable hands. A7 on the big blind. Folded to the small blind who raises. I though he was nicking my blinds and went all-in (had to do it soon anyway) But no he had KK. Of course, I've had plenty of "bitty" hands, 10 K, 10 Q, JQ and the like. But on a full table these are real troublemakers unless you hit the nuts. I've played them when they were cheap, but didn't get any nice flops. It's ironic that the most successful hand I've played so far today is 27 offsuit on the button!
