Well, in the last 2 days Ive played in two 3 table tournaments, and I finished 5th and 2nd!! Paid $15 and $37.50! Not too bad!

Ive started playing more agressivley, and it seems to be paying off. The tight-agressive style of play seems to be a much better strategy. Raising on good hands to drive the marginal hands out. Raising on weak tables. Reraising when challenged (not evey time).

The 1st tornament I was doing ok, but lost a big hand, and while I made it to the money, it was only by hangin on at the last table and waiting for players to drop out. By the time I made 5th I was severly shortstacked, and I ended up going all in on a J9 and losing to a pair of kings.

The second tournament was different. I started out agressive and it was paying off. All through the tournament my stack kept growing and when we hit the final 10 I was the chip leader with over $7000, my closest competitor was at $4000. By the time we went heads up, I had over $17,000 and my opponent had about $12,000.

We battled back and forth and the lead swung back to him, I was down to about $10,000 an he raised after the flop. I read it as a bluff and pushed all in. Unfortunatley, he had AK to my AJ, and I went out in 2nd!

Still, a very good showing considering my play over the last few months. Im going to contiue to work on playing tight-agressive, Ill keep you posted on the results.
