It appears my attendance at the World Poker Conference has given my Omaha game a new life. I have finish 1st in one tournament and place in the money 5 other times in just three days.. All of these except one were at the final table. I only played a total 8 games. Winning at Omaha has a lot of strategy involved but the number one thing is to get in with the right starting hands. When you have the right starting hand then it is time to increase the pot and reduce the number of players by betting or raising. This is what the professional do. The Omaha game is a fast growing game and we all need to start learning everything we can and faster the better. The quicker you learn the more money you are going make due to the large number of player that don't understand the game but they love to play and they will play to many hands and here where you can win extra money base upon their weakness to play too many hands. Hand selection is one of Omaha players most critical skills. You can find these hand ranking in the links in the left side of this site. Read them and study them so you know this hand at a glance. Too many become confused after the flop trying to figure out the status of their hand. If you did not make your hand on the flop or looking for a nut draw you should muck your hand. I not able to seat here and write everything about what you should know about Omaha but I hope I can stir your interest enough that you will buy books and other materials to help you to be a better player. There a lot good info on the web if you will take the time to look and study what you find. My little research down on the left where the links are is just a scratch of the surface of what out there to help you improve your game. Believe me and take my word for it OMAHA is going to be the game of the future. It is fast becoming a new star in the Poker World. Be smart get a head start on everyone else and polish up your skills and became a consistent winner!!
