To date ive been to blackpool 3 times in the past few weeks and all i can say is i absolutley love it. The first time i went was for the sunday afternoon £5 rebuy comp. I took £60 with me and rebought twice once when my AK was beaten by 88 and the next when i had 10 10. I did quadrouple up though with KQ when i hit a Q on the board to take me to t6000. After about the first half an hour the table got so easy and weak to play. You would get 6 limpers into the hand trying to see a flop and a raise would get quite a few of them away. When i did hit hands and bet against people i was up against gutshot straight draws etc. So i ended the rebuys at about 8500. The blinds were up at 200/400 with a 20 min clock. Im then dealt A10s on the button and been two limpers ahead so i limp (i should have raised or folded) thinking i will be able to get away from it after flop if i miss. Flop comes down 678 everyone checks turn is a 9 SB checks BB bets 1200 (BB has me just outchipped) i reraise another 2400 he goes all in. At this point i freeze thinking that he might actually have 10j for the higher straight but i disregard it and call he has 10j i was a little pissed off as i played the hand so badly. I know i should have even folded raised or bet the flop to get the 10j off the hand. However getting knocked out was a blessing in disguise. I went over to the £20 holdem table and sat down with the minimum. I was shocked when 5 mins later some guy pulls up a chair with about £500 in front of him. I lost my first £20 when i had JJ and went all in pre flop for 4 others to get involved and i got beat by QQ. So i pull out my last £20 ( i did have my cashcard though) and about five hands later i get AA. So raise preflop the pot which was £5 had two callers (two big stacks at the table) flop came down rag rag rag i went all in for £15 they called and checked down turn and river both had high card so my aces won it. And tripled up to £60. I was playing tighter than a monkeys arse and the only hands i played in about the first hour and a half were those unraised on my blind or premium hands. I was getting a lot of comments about my play "you only play aces" "kings arent good enough for you" etc... Next big hand came when i got KK and limped in to see someone bet the pot to £7 so i re raised it to £20 he called. Saw flop all low cards he bet again and i put myself all in for about £40. I flip over KK and he shows his QQ after the turn and river which blank. So now i am sat with about £120 in front of me and i am in shock. I was constantly folding and when i did find a monster it just played itself. Then i had a tussle with a guy called mick who had lost about £100 already and has £50 infront of him. I find KK again!!! and raise he calls as do some others. Flop comes down K high. The deck was smacking me in the face. So he bet and i re raised him all in my heart was beating so fast as i put the notes in the middle. so was not up to about £190. Then i won another two biggish pots one with AK when the flop came down K high and got called by a woman for her last £15 with a pair of 10's. Then i had 44 raised cheekily pre flop the pot two callers (one mick with now £100 infront of him) . Flop came 4 10 x I check as first to act and person goes all in for £12 and mick calls thinking i will fold and i come over the top the pot so another £60 odd quid but he folds as soon as i mention pot and shows the table KJ. I end the session with £250 infront of me and had made a profit on the day of £190.
