Hello? Is this thing on? (2% Rule)

Been thinking about bankroll management alot these past couple of days.

Primarily because my roll is small right now. And plus I've been reading a lot of the bankroll management articles on pokerpages.com

"Slow and Steady wins the race". Remember that story back in Kindergarten?
I think now that I have been learning the advanced techniques of tournament poker, it's time to go back to the basics. Basics that come into play before you ever sit down at the table.

You always hear "Play games where you have 200x the Big Bet in Cash Games". But what about tournaments? Should you have 200x the buyin? That too me sounds overly conservative. Maybe it's not, but how do you manage that with a bankroll of say $200?

So I am creating a 2% rule, or 50x the buyin for tournaments. My new years resolution is to stick to this rule strictly.

Here's a chart for Poker Stars Turbo SNG's

Play $6.50 SNG's until I reach $800.

Play $16 SNG's until I reach $1350.

Play $27 SNG's until I reach $3000.

Play $55 SNG's until I reach $5700.

And so on. Maybe this will keep me focused on playing perfect rather than if I make a call will it affect my bankroll. All money decisions should be left to before and after the tourney, not during.
