Well today was freaking awful. I lost the first two matches because I was so tired. I defnitely need to learn to not play when I feel tired because when I'm tired I can never play my A game. Poor decisions and a rush to win the match leads to a poor chance of actually winning. I took a quick break before match three to wake myself up and it was amazing what a little cold water did. I felt like I was back in the zone and steadily chipped away at my opponents stack. When I finished him off I left for a group meeting feeling confident that I would make a comeback when I get back. I started playing again a few hours later and easily won my fourth match of the day. The fifth match was a battle back and forth and with the blinds at 50/100 I picked up K-K on the button. I raised the mininum and he re-raised 500 more. I went all in for a total of $1250 and he flipped over his J-J. Of course the flop comes J-7-8 and with blanks on the turn and river I was back to being down on the day. I decided to take a break and continue playing later on. The night was about as big a disaster as I could of had. I lost three matches in a row. I just couldn't catch any cards and watched my stacks slowly dwindle. I had totally lost my confidence and I was at 2-6 on the down, down $220. I decided to play a $100 match and call it a night if I lost and sure enough I got hammered. I finally caught a good hand, K-K on the button. However, when the flop came A-10-5 and I bet and he raised I knew it wasn't my night. After losing the rest of my stack I decided to write this post and call it a night. It was an expensive $325 day but hopefully I can start making that back tomorrow.
