I guess they picked Cryptologic because there are few big name online casino or online poker vendors that are public companies. That is, until PartyPoker’s parent company floats their much anticipated IPO.
Some interesting arguments are made for Cryptologic over Home Depot. The Cryptologic cheerleader suggests that it’s far more likely for Cryptologic to triple in revenue or market cap. than for Home Depot to do the same. It’s hard to fault the logic there, but the counter argument was that Cryptologic isn’t selling the best poker software around and that their competitors are fierce and many. The poker war is won with marketing anyways. The software doesn’t matter much.
