Four days until Christmas eve, until eggnog and presents and time with family. Well ok, time with the wife (which is always welcome), and the pets. I didn't mention in my last post that I got one of my gifts about a week early. The wife went and got me a mouse, which is one of those creatures I have always been interested in; but never had the balls to get. I'm kind of a clumsy person, and the thought of accidentally crunching him when Im trying to pick him up. Anyway he is small, white and has a few black spots on him. The wife says that the spots are what makes him a "fancy mouse" which seems like a large marketing ploy to me...but hey to each their own. I have named him luther (after Lex Luther) and he is currently on top of a chest of drawers in a corner of the office. The wife even let me get a purple ball that I can put him into which lets him run around the house. Its funny to watch the other animals reactions to him. On the poker front, Im not really doing much. Waiting for post christmas so I can put some real cash in the account, because Im getting sick of free'rolls and play money games. I've learned about all I can from them and I would really like to be able to participate in some of the $5 tournaments I see around. I'll let everyone know what happens. I also sent a trio of poems off recently to one of the contests the wife found for me. It costs $15 to have them read, but I could finally get some noteriety for the "wonderful" (the wifes word) stuff that I write. I should be hearing back shortly...hopefully.
