Labor Day Coming
Friday, September 02 09:08:13 PM 2005
What needs to be immediately done, seems to be doing in N.O.. Perhaps not as quickly as one might like, and with the fear of looking over ones shoulder for another storm. (Hark, the Raven calls? Hope not.)
There is a zillion things to be said about, to, for, and around the subject. The classic "I'm going to clean out this room -- just as soon as I figure out what to do with the stuff in it" situation exists there.
Now, the shoot to kill orders. Personal comment: Water World, without the gas to run the water scooters.___
I am taking a day from my Renters problems. This is the Labor Day weekend, which is the "Biggie" for the village.
Over the next couple of days, we will see our kids in parades. We will see motorcycle races, mud buggy trials, old cars, new cars, political persons, drunken persons, strangers and various Mule races.
It has been two years since we've killed anyone in the games, though we have had several injuries to contend with. The most amusing was the incident of the fisher man jumping (falling) off the bridge into the Lake and getting stuck in the mud. The water was about a foot deep, the mud closer to two. They about pulled him in two, trying to overcome the sucking stuff.___
On poker front, I still haven't choosen a new site. I have taken some of the penny games stack and worked it up to a poke large enough to challenge the dime/quarter NL games. That has been an interesting journey.
There were three of us finessing each other the other day (the way the betting was going, we all had something and wanted the pot.) two of us showed the full house, Kings full of fives. Quad fives took the pot with three of us All-in.
Blah.
'ray for him - Shit head.___
Now I have to cut the grass for the weekend -- don't want strangers thinking I'm, umm, lazy.___
Aces to you.
