More on-line tornament poker action and talk with Henry and Zog. This week it's a $20 sit-and-go tournament... and we get a look at how some different starting hands stack up against each other in theory and in practice! Proper show notes to follow tomorrow Back in the real world, our home game has a small problem: we need new cards, and aren't quite sure what to go for next. After wearing out too many Bicycle and Bee decks, we switched to KEM, and had good use out of a couple of decks of narrow arrow-back KEMs. After one too many of 'em suffered damage, we tried KEM's wider poker decks, which have finally worn out. Weirdly, they don't seem to have worn as well as the other KEM decks there's more visible scuffing of the designs on both the face and back of the cards, so we really need some new ones. First thoughts are that we'll try and get hold of arrow-back decks again, but if anyone has any thoughts or recommendations we'd be interested to hear them. Oh, and just for the record... H, you're quite right. The pleasure of beating friends especially rather competitive ones - is worth so much more than the gains that might be had by any sorta collaboration.
