Many players are asking why are there more low hands than high hands in a omaha game. The question is fairly easy to answer but with a lot of reservation without any definite answer. Ok let's look at the low hand which uses a total of 32 cards. This in it self makes it obvious why there are more low hands. I know you are going to say there are 52 cards that can be used make a high hand. In a low hand you are able to use any combinations of 32 cards and to make a high hand you have to make specific combination of cards such as pairs, sets, straight, flushes, full houses and most of you know the rest of hands needed to win. Low hands can be put together like a Shotgun pattern where high hands are more like rifle shots. So if you are a poor shooter then you have more of chance of hitting your target with a shotgun shot. What I have just said is why you will see a lot more in-experienced players in omaha games because they feel they have a better chance of winning against good players. Omaha is a very exciting game, which is another reason that you are seeing more and more omaha players on the internet games. Omaha is a very demanding game that requires your full attention at all times and you have to stay focused on the many combinations (40) of hands you can make. Starting hands are very important and there is a link under interesting places to visit, which will give an line up that you can use for a guide. I do not consider myself a top omaha player. I just take advantage of those that do not understand the game. You want to have fun play OMAHA.
