Partied out weekend = No more bankroll
Wednesday, June 08 12:01:44 AM 2005
So I just returned from Houston, Texas where I experienced the joys of Everclear and 151. A great duo to many but it became my supreme demise. Big Henney and the Goose were also part of the alcoholic orgy which left me with more intensified inebriation. To make it simple I got FUBAR'd.
I spend Friday to Monday drinking so tough that I never had to time to think of cards.
Should have taken a few more days off to get clear minded. When I returned home to Seattle Monday Night, the thirst for action grew stronger and I needed to play some partypoker to get a quick fix. Not listening to my body for some R&R and maybe some vicodin for that added soothing, I hopped on the computer for some virtual holdem battle. Played two tables. One 15-30 and the other 10-20- both ring games.
Knew it was downhill when my head was tilted back, resting on the head support, and my mind was thinking about tv as I clicked on the mouse. Slowly the chips started falling into the arms of other players as I over pushed the pots from position - raising with overcards and semi bluffing my draws too much with turn raises...which never seemed to materialize into any made hand.
I just wanted to get a quick hit of $500 and call it a night but instead I ended up having a quick dent to my online bankroll of $1000.00. Accepted the fact I was done for the night and just went to bed.
Still working on the thing called discipline.
