Yea! Its like less then a week until Christmas! I love Christmas! Mostly because I get the day off work, but I got an EXTRA special suprise this year, I get the whole week AFTER christmas off work. Its part of a squadron thing where we get either the week before Christmas or the week after christmas (new years week) off work. I got the post Christmas one because everyone else was going home for the holidays. I didn't really care all that much, Im just happy I got extra time off. Though I'll most likely have to make it up in Janurary with a string of 12 hour days that will last about 3 months. Not that I make any extra either, thats the worst part. Anyway, sorry I haven't written in so longs, things have been so hectic I haven't had a chance to sit down and grind anything out. So heres the basics. I'm STILL grinding away at playing freeroll poker on all the sites, trying to get some cash out of it since the wife doesn't see the need for me to deposit real money in any of them. I'm sure once I show her I can win stuff and that I am getting better that she wont have a problem with a few dollars here or there. Im mostly playing at Absolute Poker right now, along with Ultimate Bet. I like those two the best. Poker Champs is allright, as in it has a slick interface but the people that play there are too damn wild; it seems that if you play at Gus Hansons site, you have to play like Gus Hanson. Anyway, nothing big on the poker front. The biggest news is that me and the wife quit smoking. To most of you that doesn't sound like much, but to us that is huge. We have both smoked for about 12 years, so this isn't easy. We both agreed to go cold turkey and I have been doing fine, however she was cheating for about 3 days. It was kind of my fault though, I went out and got her a pack of Ultra Lights so I coud give her an "emergency cigarette" every once in a while. She, being the curious kitty that she is, searhed the house, found them, lied to me about it for a day and then finally told me that she had been smoking them. Well, they got thrown in the trash, and now we are both smoke free. Me since a week ago (wohoo! a week!). Her, for about 4 days. Never-the-less, even for the cheating I am still proud of her. Things have been bad around the house with both of us being tense as hell and tring to get over the withdraw effects; but I still feel good inside. We are also watching my (o-worker Cameron)'s dog. Her name is Lucy and shes a smaller yellow lab mix (mixed with what I have no idea). Shes cute, sweet and dumb as a box of rocks. She gets along great with Oscar (our Border Collie) but shes never been around cats before...and is extremely interested in cornering the kitten to see what she is. The kitten however is less then thrilled with this. They have already gotten into it a few times. Anyway yesterday Lucy started hacking up a lung for about 10 minutes, it sounded really bad. She got all excited and started coughing, me and the missus didn't know what to do. The wife said she sounded sick and I agreed. So we got her to the vet (well the wife did) and discovered that our houseguest has kennel cough. So the wife got Cameron on the phone, got his permission to treat her (and his CC number for the vet to pay for it) and we were in the buisiness of taking care of sick animals. The good part is that the Kennel Cough has been caught at the very beginning; and its very mild. Which is good of course. The bad part is that its still kennel cough.
