So the gambling has been going good the last couple of days...I am really intrigured at this Texas/UNC game. See, this is the thing about gambling on sports....the lines are demand driven. Sportsbooks dont like to open themselves up to a lot of risk...so they try to anticipate a line that will induce equal amounts of betting on both sides of the game. If you havent noticed the last couple of weeks, UNC has been every commentators "dark-horse", to do something in the tournament. Coupled with the fact that people will bet on team names rather than whose playing on the teams, (see Louisville last night and Arizona and Michigan State the night before), lines for those teams are at a severe disadvantage. Conversely, teams like St. Joes and Gonzaga will have lines in their favor simply because people think they are overrated. I like Texas a lot tonight...they might not win, but they shouldnt be a +1 dog. If you make that bet 10 times, Texas will cover 6 of them, and thats all you need to be concerned about. Also, im looking over my posts from this morning and Im not so sure why the hell I have Alabama at +7.5 as a .5350 pick. Im gonna do some more research and see if I was just incredibly drunk or what.
