Took yesterday off to do some dove hunting with my kids and brother. I didn't start playing until late afternoon and only got 1 MTT in. Bodog 7.5K guaranteed. $11 + $1 buy-in. 558 entries. Placed 300th.Really an uneventful tournament as the cards werent there and basically when we hit the 30/60 blinds, I found myself with a 475 stack. Basically in the red zone if you follow Harrington's M. I got pocket 5s and was 2nd to act so I pushed all in and got called by the chip leader in the SB with KK. No 5 and out. Down $12 on the MTTs. On the limit side, I finished clearing Party's bonus and I'm starting to play Empire's turbo 3 day reload. Also played at Superior too and went over the 500 points I need for the Ecasinodeals comp. I'm thinking about sticking around for the 6000 points to collect my $500 bonus because the play is so fishy. Basically ended up making $102 for the day with limit and MTT. $142 up for the month. Ramblings: Started reading Harrington on Holdem Volume 2 yesterday and it's a fine book. The inflection points are very interesting and I think that this has been a problem in my MTT game. I find myself pulling the trigger too late and a double up doesn't really do my any good then. I'm about half way through it and hope to finish it and start HOH volume 1 over again. I also made sure that tonight when I played the MTT it was the only thing I did rather than playing a couple of MTTs or a few limit games with my MTT like I usually do. I really tried to focus more on what my opponents were doing and taking notes. I think this will pay off down the road as I get better with it.
