When losing still means "make money"

Wow, what a disheartening series of poker session I had during my time at the InterPoker tables this past few days. I deposited $90 for the March $90 bonus. Terms were the same, 450 raked hands. This time, instead of creeping ahead at the tables, I managed to fall behind. I was triple-tabling, which is usually a bit above my comfort line, but the software is slow (or perhaps it was the players on dial-up). Still, I never felt rushed for time in making any decisions. What did happen was I overplayed pocket-pairs twice, and on one hand I just refused to believe that I was outkicked on a shared three-of-a-kind. End result, those three hands, and one poorly played other resulted in a loss of the best part of my buy-in, plus any winnings I had managed to accumulate. But, after ending my 3.33 hours of table-time I was UP $16.78. How?? I managed to clear the bonus. So, instead of coming in at a loss, I came in $5.04 an hour ahead. That means I made money, playing losing poker. That's hard to complain about. I won't be doing any playing over the weekend, but I have a few rooms in sight for next week's time at the tables. Hopefully I'll be disciplined enough to get back to break-even play again.
